I was lucky enough to grow up in Southwest Colorado near the San Juan mountains. It has given me a deep love for high elevations. There is no place I’d rather be than a flower meadow. Here is a true mountain woman—rooted and resilient. She stands surrounded by striking, vividly colored wildflowers that gently frame her calm, serene presence. Perhaps she’s wishing the moment would last, that the beauty and peacefulness would stay forever.
